How are we encouraging one another?

When we read the Bible it's clear that there's an expectation of Christians being there for each other, speaking and encouraging one another as we live for Jesus. You only have to look at all the 'one another's' in the Bible (apparently there's 59 in the New Testament alone!).

How do we do that? By speaking truth - Biblical truth - to each other. That's not necessarily quoting Bible verses throughout our conversations - that'd be a bit odd. But it is speaking Bible-informed words - words that are shaped by Biblical concepts and truths and principles.

I'd like to encourage you to think about what that could look like for you this week, in the conversations you have.

Here's two resources that might help:
Encouragement – matthiasmedia.com.au (this is a great little book littered with practical tips to help you be an encourager)

5 Christian Clichés that Need to Die (thegospelcoalition.org) (this article challenges some of the cliches that we too often use and helps us to think in Biblical ways instead.)
