Our church has five DVD courses / small group resources:
'Six Steps to talking about Jesus' - practical training in evangelism
'Six Steps to Encouragement' - how to use your words to build others up
'The course of your life' - building on some of the things we studied last month in our 'Growing Church' series, this helps us to see our place as disciples of Jesus, and disciple-makers
'From Sinner to Saint' - studies in holiness and the way God transforms his people
'Where to Lord?' - thinking through the topic of guidance, finding and following God's will
If you're looking for something to study at Connect, or in another small group setting, then I can recommend these to you. They're Australian written and produced, and good quality, Bible based teaching. If you'd like to know more, please contact the elders.

Many of our media headlines and discussions at the moment revolve around sex in some way, shape, or form. Whether it be around consent, or sexual assault, or a whole host of other issues, there is a great deal of discussion in our society.
Which can be confusing! Sometimes it's hard to understand the assumptions behind the arguments that are made by social commentators. This article that I came across earlier this week is really helpful in that regard. If you're wanting to think more deeply in this area, in order to not only understand, but engage well, then I'd encourage you to read it.

If you're wanting to do some more reading on a particular topic, I'd encourage you to check these books out. You're not committing to a read that's going to go way over your head, or take you months to get through - but one that will be useful, and grow you, still.
